Laura Castle LPC, CSAC
Laura Castle began employment with her husband and business partner at
Clarksville Counseling Center in August 2003.
Currently, she practices full-time at Clarksville Counseling Center, where
she provides individual, family and marital counseling for individuals of
all ages. She treats a variety of other issues, including depression, anxiety,
stress management, women's issues, childhood issues, family and parenting
issues, and marital issues. Laura has also completed the Level 1 training
toward becoming a Gottman-certified marital therapist.
Before beginning work at Clarksville Counseling Center in August of
2003, Laura served as a Mental Health and Substance Abuse Therapist
for Southside Community Services Board. Laura also worked as an
Emergency Services Worker for Southside Community Services Board
providing after hours emergency services in Mecklenburg and Halifax
Counties. She has also been employed as an Adjunct Faculty member
at Southside Community College teaching a variety of classes focusing
on Substance Abuse.
More recently, Laura has been employed by Halifax Regional Health
System at the Center for Behavioral Health providing both group and
individual therapy. She has also worked at Rivermont School in Chase
City, where she provided individual and group counseling for children
and adolescents.
Laura Castle is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified
Substance Abuse Counselor. She obtained her LPC in September
2002 and her CSAC in January 2003.
She obtained a B.A. in Psychology from Winthrop University in
December 1996 and a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Radford
University in May 1999.
She and her husband, Richard Castle, moved to the Clarksville area
in 1999.
